Love love love this place. Way better than some "other" places. The owner greeted us and was very friendly. My kids dig the free ice cream machine so I am sure we will be back frequently. The atmosphere makes me feel like I am at a local place in Texas somewhere although the service could be a bit quicker. It seems to take too long to get your food at times. Overall, one of my favs!

Who would think that fast food BBQ would taste so good? Ate here at the suggestion of a friend at Crittenton Hospital and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the 'que! Pulled pork sandwich was juicy and delicious and the jalapeno beans had great spice. Free ice cream cones for all is a cute touch.. It's a bit tricky to find, as it's set back in the mall and you can't see the place from the road, but it's worth the search. I'll definitely return on my next trip trough Rochester Hills.

Very disappointed, first off I ordered online and they ran out of pulled pork before I picked up my order. When I got there none of my order was ready, when they finally got it ready, when I got home it was the wrong order. Was suppose to have ribs and sausage in 1 meal and pulled pork and chicken in the other. I ended up with 2 sets of ribs, chicken and ham. They were suppose to have buttered rolls, those were missing. The Mac and cheese tasted like frozen stoeffers, beans were eh. Coleslaw suppose to be creamy and it was dry. The ribs tasted like they had sat for hours, too tough. I will say the only good part of the meal was the ham, that replaced the pulled pork they were out of at 6:00 on a Friday night.

I was the first customer on grand opening day. I had the ribs. Excellent smokey flavor, tender, but not fall off the bone tender. Tasty BBQ beans. Fried onion tanglers were excellent and well salted.

I love Dickey's! I discovered them a few months ago at their other location in Troy, and stopped in today to grab a bite to eat. Being that it's the 4th of July, nothing tastes better then some good ole BBQ! I went with my usual Brisket Sandwich with a drink and a side. I tried the onion rings, and they were a bit salty, but good overall. The Brisket was delicious overall, and I just love coming here. It's a fast casual kind of place, and I'm happy that their open here. It's in a real nice shopping area, so there's plenty to do afterwards. Another perk is that they have daily specials here, so if your not sure what to get, check out the daily special board. I've ordered off it before, and it's really a good deal. Staff is friendly and attentive, prices are fair, and overall a good place to go and grab a quick bite to eat. Not over done, and really a good spot.

This particular Dickey's makes order mistakes on a regular basis. Food is great when the order is correct.

The food is decent but the pulled pork is pretty tasteless. The meat is good quality, cooked perfectly but doesn't have much flavor. I enjoy getting a combo platter but feel the food is slightly over priced as compared to what you would get at say The Woodshop in Clarkston where you not only get a larger portion but also table service. The sides are typical - smashed redskin casserole (which tastes like instant potatoes doctored up), mac and cheese, greens, etc. The best value for the dollar which does force us to return are Sundays - kids eat free with an adult purchase. They also have a pretty awesome soft serve ice cream machine that adults and kiddos alike indulge in as a compliment to the meal price. Can't have one too many baby ice cream cones.

I haven't even left yet, and I feel ill. The ribs are almost inedible. The chicken is dry. The coleslaw was bland. The ham was just okay. The nuggets were rejected. The rolls were flat and went ignored. The pickle and onion side was literally 2 dill pickle slices and a raw slice of white onion. The sweet tea is average. The sauces were good, especially with the yummy pulled pork. The mac n cheese was a hit. I didn't trust the front counter guy, who claimed the ice cream is dairy free (the website says otherwise). Nope. I opened a cabinet and read the ingredients. There is a milk derivative. Oh well. The kids who can eat it like it. I don't plan to return.

My coworkers and I came to lunch here the day before the grand opening. Oops. The manager opened the doors for us and let us try the delicious BBQ items. He expressed his love to be a community business and was very gracious. However, after they opened, I came back for a less than stellar visit. I waited in line for 21 minutes before being served, then another 11 minutes for my pulled pork sandwich. The description said my sandwich came with pickles. Apparently that means 2 small slices. The staff was running around crazy with no manager in sight and definitely no leadership. The cones for the free soft serve were stuck and there was no one around to help the sad children. I'm not sure if I will be back...

Bad Brads BBQ was the place for BBQ or so I thought? I had the opportunity to order Christmas Night dinner from Dickey's in Rochester and I was pleasantly surprised to find a moister more flavorful brisket and a better tasting BBQ sauce. The sides were also very good the loaded bake potato casserole was outstanding and the green beans were awesome, mac and cheese was just ok but the mac and cheese from Brads isn't great either. I wish that Dickey's offered greens but that being said Dickey's is the place for BBQ in my book. Billy and Zach were very friendly and know their Brisket, keep the smoker going guys cause you smoke the competition!

We had a carry out to try when they first opened. Maybe they need time to work out the bugs. But this place did not have good bbq at all. It was mediocre at best. They don't have much flavor at all. I thought famous Daves was bad.. This is worst! I won't be back, my family and I weren't fans.

Had a pull pork sandwich combo meal, it was excellent. Good variety of BBQ sauces(3) which is enough. FYI: It's more setup for a fast good type but better than any burger joint.

Don't waste your money or time coming to Dickeys bbq in Rochester! I love ribs and decided to try something different from Boneyard BBQ. My first complaint was with the poor attitude from the servers. They were not friendly and when I asked questions (Such as why were the ribs and meat wrapped up in cello-paper) they did not answer me! I was concerned that I didn't see my ribs cooked while I was waiting but the server just pulled some ribs from a package and put them in my to-go box. When I asked when were the ribs cooked the server said, "Don't worry their completely cooked!" WTF!! The final deal breaker was a slab of ribs is $25 without any sides. I just walked out and went to Boneyard BBQ in Shelby.
